Frequently Asked Questions

What is Domo?

Domo is the home for international cultural collaboration, bringing together organisations, individuals, and communities to exchange ideas and co-create. By fostering creativity across borders, it strengthens mutual understanding and builds connections that make cultural spaces more inclusive and resilient. Home to Cultural Emergency Response, DutchCulture, the European Cultural Foundation, and the Prince Claus Fund, Domo is located at Nieuwe Herengracht 14 in Amsterdam, where it welcomes international practitioners to share and shape new ways of sustaining culture through global collaboration.

Who makes up Domo?

Who can join or collaborate with the collective?

Domo is newly launched, and the collective currently consists of its founding members: Cultural Emergency Response, DutchCulture, the European Cultural Foundation, and the Prince Claus Fund. While becomong a partner is not open at this stage, we are always looking to collaborate on events and activities. If you are interested in partnering with us, please reach out at domo@domoculture.com.

What kind of support does the collective offer?

Domo offers a space for international cultural collaboration. By bringing together its founding  organisations and international practitioners, the collective supports knowledge exchange, co-creation, and networking. Through public events, panel talks, and collaborative initiatives, Domo provides a platform where ideas, practices, and connections can grow. It is not a funding body but a home for collaboration that helps make international and Dutch cultural spaces more inclusive, resilient, and imaginative.

Does the collective provide funding?

No, Domo does not offer funding. The collective is a space for collaboration, not a grant-making body. However, each of the founding organisations has its own programmes and opportunities. We encourage you to visit the websites of Cultural Emergency Response, DutchCulture, the European Cultural Foundation, and the Prince Claus Fund to learn more about the forms of support they provide.

How can I propose a project or partnership?

You can share your ideas by emailing us at domo@domoculture.com. Please note that proposals should be related to international cultural collaboration, which is the focus of Domo’s mission and activities. As Domo is still in its early stages, we do our best to reply as soon as we can and have to carefully review proposals. But we are always happy to hear your ideas!

Can individuals collaborate with Domo or only organisations?

Both individuals and organisations can collaborate with Domo if the activity relates to international cultural collaboration. Domo does not provide in-kind support for organising events, so individuals should manage their own logistics unless collaborating directly with Domo or its founding members.
